Zach Rogers Named BIG EAST Defensive Player Of The Week

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Providence College men's lacrosse senior defender Zach Rogers (Rolling Hills Estates, Calif.) was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced by the conference on Monday, April 28.

Rogers helped the Friars to an 11-10 double overtime victory over Villanova on Saturday, April 26 at Villanova Stadium in Villanova, Pa. Rogers served as the backbone of Providence's defense where he forced four turnovers and collected a game-high 11 ground balls.

Rogers finished the 2014 season ranked second for Providence in caused turnovers with 18. In addition Rogers finished second on the team in ground balls with 35.
