PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College field hockey team fell to 14th-ranked Northwestern, 4-0, on Aug. 29 at Lennon Family Field in Providence, R.I. It marked the Friars' second game against a nationally-ranked opponent to start the 2017 season, as the squad moves to 1-1 on the year. Northwestern improved to 2-1 with the victory.
