PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College field hockey team defeated Bryant University, 3-2, on Sunday, Sept. 3 at Goldberger Family Field in Providence, R.I. The Bulldogs took a 2-1 lead into halftime, but the Friars responded with two unanswered goals in the second half to take the win. Senior midfielder Allie Lancaster (Cornville, Maine) notched her first career goal to lift the Friars to victory with just 18 seconds remaining in regulation.

GAME FLOW & NOTES.
- Providence trailed 2-1 at halftime despite holding an 8-4 advantage in shots and a 4-3 edge in penalty corners.

- Mikayla Michals put the Friars on the board at 13:12 to tie the game, 1-1, on a deflection in front of the cage off a feed from Manon van Weezel.

- Bryant managed to score each of its two goals in the opening half during penalty corner opportunities.

- The Friars out-shot the Bulldogs 12-0 in the second half and benefited by scoring two goals. Providence also held a 9-0 edge in penalty corners in the second stanza.

- Natalie Mitchell tied the game, 2-2, at 47:57 after converting a feed from Olivia Ward.

- Allie Lancaster scored the game-winning goal with just 18-seconds left in regulation. It marked her first career goal at Providence and she was assisted by van Weezel, who finished with a team-high two assists in the contest.

- Providence finished the game with a 20-4 advantage in shots and a 13-3 edge in corners.
