The duo powered Providence to a three-game sweep of St. John’s and a midweek win over Holy Cross.
PROVIDENCE, R.I.- It was announced today (April 13) that Providence College softball student-athlete Alyssa Twomey (Warwick, R.I.) was named BIG EAST Pitcher of the Week, while Cameron Dunn (Bothell, Wash.) earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll following strong performances in a three-game sweep of St. John's and a midweek win over Holy Cross.
Twomey led the Friars in the circle, tossing two complete games in a series sweep of St. John's to earn a 2-0 record on the week. She posted a 1.94 ERA and totaled 10 strikeouts across 18.0 innings pitched.
Dunn started all five games for the Friars and hit .429 (6-for-14) with one home run and 11 RBI, while posting a .714 slugging percentage and a .556 on-base percentage. It marks her fourth appearance on the honor roll this season.

The Friars return to action on Wednesday, April 15, for a midweek doubleheader at Glay Field. They will open the day with a 3:00 p.m. matchup against Boston University before returning to the field at 5:30 p.m. to face Brown.
