Cameron Dunn And Alyssa Twomey Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

The duo led Providence to a sweep over Villanova to clinch a spot in the BIG EAST Tournament.

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- It was announced today (April 27) that Providence College softball student-athletes Cameron Dunn (Bothell, Wash.) and Alyssa Twomey (Warwick, R.I.) were named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll following strong performances in a series sweep over Villanova. The 3-0 weekend secured the Friars a spot in the 2026 BIG EAST Softball Tournament.

Dunn started all three games for the Friars and hit .444 (4-for-9) with one home run and five RBI, while posting a .889 slugging percentage and a .500 on-base percentage. It marks her fifth appearance on the honor roll this season.

Twomey anchored the Friars in the circle, tallying 11 strikeouts across 10.1 innings of work. She posted a 2-0 record with a 2.03 ERA, highlighted by a dominant complete-game shutout.

The Friars return to action on Tuesday, April 28, for a doubleheader against Georgetown. The first game is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. and will be streamed on FriarsLive.
