- Providence added to their lead in the bottom of the fourth. Brittney Veler (Santa Rosa, Calif.) started the inning by hitting a double and was then advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt by Vanessa Portillo (Chatsworth, Calif.). Veler was then brought home when Crista San Antonio (East Meadow, N.Y.) hit a sacrifice fly to right field.

GAME TWO HIGHLIGHTS:
-The second game was closely contested as the first four innings were a pitcher's dual between Christina Ramirez (Niceville, Fla.) and Villanova's Caitlyn Dickman. Neither allowed a run through the first three innings.
- Villanova finally struck first, scoring two runs in the fourth inning.
- Providence responded in the bottom of the fourth with a run of their own. When Portillo hit a ground ball to the short stop, Alison Abbatiello (North Salem, N.Y.) patiently waited until after the short shop threw the ball before darting home for the score.
- Villanova made the score 3-1 in the top of the sixth by scoring another run.
- The Friars responded in the bottom of the sixth when Rurka scored on a wild pitch.
- Providence would be unable to score again and would drop the game, 3-2.
